No reason it wouldnt go. there's very little to go wrong with old skool diesel engines. as long as its got compression, fuel and air it will start, stories are legion in preservation about old gardner engined trucks having not turned a wheel for 30 years still starting up when batteries connected

I remember Strathclyde buses had loads, I used the 29 in Glasgow frequently (formally 39).RDS 958W was a regular on the run, with the odd MCW.

the old LA buses were the best,strathclyde buses had hundreds when i was little, i remember one in particular LA1313 it knocked down an old woman & killed her then i was a passenger on it a couple of months later i hated it
