In this episode Willard responds to a YDLC Forum member's question about healthy ways of dealing with anger. Are you the type of person who reacts, or responds when things make you angry? A simple shift can make a world of difference.

  • this video seems to be geared toward irrational anger, anger that's not neccessarily justified, or if it is, is disproportionate. what if you don't have a problem expressing your anger, but it's existence drags you down and makes you more and more miserable? which in turn makes you more susceptible to getting angry?

  • @mikese93 We actually address something like that in a later episode. Episode 46 was made in response to a similar comment that someone made in our forums.

  • you know what helps me: beating the shit out of somebody!

  • Most of the times, when we go into a rage, innocent people are being hurt (either physically or psychologically) because of our "moment of folly". And personally, I feel that this video is really helpful in helping one deal with their anger.

Thumbs up on this one, and I'm going to share this video with my readers in my self-improvement blog. :)

    Cheers

  • I'm not a reactive person- I do stop myself when someone is frustrating me... I usually decide to respond in a calm, quiet manner but point out to the person why I am angry. I still feel that I am being poisoned by the anger I am suppressing. I don't usually have the physical impulse to hit things. Perhaps doing that in a controlled way would help. Bottling anger up is going to hurt me and I want to find a way to avoid that situation.

    Thanks

  • turn it down a notch - calm person is better than someone who is on the edge

  • i seen this and thought " what does this fuking prick have to say about anger"

  • One thing about this: it deals with anger that is unjustified. Say perhaps if you are very aware that you have been wronged. Dreadfully wronged by others, and in what you perceive as an insulting and dishonest manner despite the fact that you yourself remained honest and patient until that point. It is only natural to be angry afterwards, but how can this type of justified indignation be stopped from coming back and making you wish you had let all fly at the responsible party back then?

  • FUCK THIS GUY!

  • @aleterra wow fag
