@tolstoyman2 - i was in the business, and never went for "bootleg" anythings. sure i could've hidden a mackie 223 (?) board under my trenchcoat, or plugged into the main mixing board at any club, with a simple bribe. each generation stands upon the shoulders of the former, as it should be. - there's another video of him posted, the comment is "the nastier the crowd got, the more inspired his playing that night". - i agree re: "genius" and "roy buchanan" in the same breath.

Roy seemed at his best with a disrespectful audience. Some of the notes he hit here are painfull....beyond words.
I feel that Roy was suffering a lot of emotional hurt at this gig...
"Roy will come again.." but he never left us in spirit.

what a soul
This video shows the intensity of the connection of a true artist with his art. No amount of talking, yelling, sarcastic cheers, etc will keep an artist from his art.
They might as well not be there. They are irrellevent. And his performance transcends it all..
This is the genius of Roy Buchanan.

Great find there Snakestretcher. This song to me was some of the most moving guitar work I have ever heard.
