Adrenaline at UIST 2011.
Interactive systems must respond to user input within seconds — so in order to embed crowds inside of user interfaces, we need to dramatically lower crowd latency. We introduce the use of synchronous crowds for on-demand, realtime crowdsourcing and their applications in realtime crowd-powered interfaces. To demonstrate the benefits and limitations of our techniques, we present Adrenaline, a crowd-powered camera where workers quickly filter a short video down to the best single moment for a photo.
