  • You're kind of hard to hear.

  • Yeah, you have to turn the sound on/up

  • I'm currently considering living in my car. I have 2 weeks before the lease to my apartment is up, and I have that time to make the decision. I have a decent car - a 2005 Honda civic which I have owned since new - which is clean inside and out, so it's comfortable and I've already slept in it twice by reclining the front passenger seat all the way back (I sleep on my back anyway). I've worked out that I could save $5,000 - $7,000 by next march which is a fair chunk o' cheese.

  • @waitingforagoodguy I am so sorry for your unfortunate situation. But there are campgrounds all over the USA that rent sites by the month. Check out a few of them. Maybe you could work in one. They do hire in campgrounds for a free site. Buy a small tent or a small trailer. I have worked in them. They will give you a free site for maybe 18 or 20 hours a week. Some even pay a little stipend. Good luck dear.

  • @buddybleau oh please, where are these campgrounds? woman alone in a van.

  • @bagzie : You're an inspiration. I too think about living in my car for financial reasons. My apartment lease will expire in 3 weeks. But I worry about freezing in my car during the winter months. I also worry about being attacked or killed by someone crazy. What's your advice? How do I keep safe?

  • wouldnlike to live in a car but i live in my small van now its more like home, started off with just a sllepimg bag but added more stuff later thing i added;- carpet on floor fan heater camp bed blanket pillow air conditioning lamps hole in floor for toilet laptop computer with internet connection, better than tv. and bought a few solar battery chargers for charging batteries in lamps/cell phone/laptop. etc love living in my van while i save money, can live anywhere for a night.
  • If you have a small trailer, there are campgrounds that would rent you a space for $200 or $300 a month. That includes electricity, bathroom facilities, a picnic table and safety.
