The 2012 election between Republicans and Democrats commits the world to total systems failure and breakdown crisis. Phase 2; In 2016, short-term and transitory economic improvements are evident as the popular solution set transitions to greater peril thereafter.

  • In an interview Taleb said the Occupy movement is dangerous & must be pre-empted because it undermines the power of the lobbies & the banks!!!

He says we "STILL" live in a time of one man one vote (is this to change?) and this is a potential weakness of the banks & lobbies; and potential strenght of the Occupy movement.

His solution is to publicly chastise the banks so as to defuse the impetus of the democratic power of the Occupy movement.

An elite agent & a bungler.

    What do you think?

  • @david8157 I listened to him.. He was concerned that we would gravitate into a divide and conquer result around wealth distribution thereby destroying capitalism.. Its similar to my concern about a new direct form of totalitarianism. He was not so much pro-banker as he was against a communist outcome.

  • Morbid propaganda ... expressing your fear of Americans rather than showing the way to a solution. In your book, even the Tea Party is a precursor of death camps and marching armies. Everything that involves the masses frightens you. It's sad.

  • @BugsMr123 The solutions manual is as wide as it is long.. I have listed solutions far and wide. My fellow Americans seem capable of latching onto buzz words and propaganda, slogans (such as 999) and parties which never were.

  • @BugsMr123 Here's two solutions for you (suggested by our dear friend Warren):

    1. Ban/make illegal both major parties for all national office.

    2. Perp walks for responsible persons who created this mess: Bush's SEC Chief, Dodd, Frank, the banksters, G. Bush (foreign war excursions masked as democracy-searches, etc).

You sir, and you ilk, are the problem. The governing elite (Palin, Rep. Party, etc.) purchased/co-opted the Tea Party about two weeks after it birthed.

  • @93or97 We can go on and on with solutions.. make lobbying illegal, term limits, settlement of currencies, tariffs.. we are way past that point where solutions apply.

  • ! OCCUPY !

  • Der Furher does well without a teleprompter

If only Obama could deliver like this

  • Der Furher does well without a teleprompter

  • Brilliant Warren - you are a Genius...

  • Warren, could you tell me where you found this Hitler speech? Very interesting the parallels from then to today.

  • america lucked out with a roosevelt, germany got hitler. nuff said.

  • I have the same thoughts as you too. I believe the unions will be used as some form of national defense - gestapo???????

  • @wepollock When I made my point, I was thinking of what people could do to prevent the calamity and repair the institutions in a practical and immediate way.

I take it, you confirm my point that you aren't interested in these kinds of 'solutions'.

  • @93or97 Think of the political energy and time it would take to ban political parties! Is this a serious proposal? The 'perp walk' has to wait until the Obama administration has run its course. Just the practical politics of it.

None of this is directed at the key -- getting rid of toxic debt, and getting the banking system functioning on a 'mark to market' basis.

I may not be the solution, sir, but I'm not the problem. More like a victim.
