FFVII - Level 7 Tifa vs Safer-Sephiroth (No Items)

Accessory: Tetra Elemental
Materia: 3x HP Plus, 2x MP Plus, Restore, Barrier, Enemy Skill, Final Attack=Revive, Final Attack=Throw and Added Effect=Transform.

The final boss. He's usually not that hard in challenges, but he was very hard this time. My first plan was to deal with all of his attacks, but I quickly learned that there is no way to reduce Pale Horse's damage enough for Tifa to survive it. Therefore, I had to use Final Attack to get past it.

Even with Final Attack, this is no easy battle. Sephiroth's base HP is 80k, but he gains an extra 30k for each character on level 99 and I'm afraid Cid reached that level when I used him to level up materia. In other words, I had to deal with 30k more HP than usual, which equals to three more turns needed to kill him. That's no good news.

At first, I thought it was impossible to deal that much damage before all the Final Attacks are used up, but after doing some changes in my materia setup, I had room for another Final Attack, which I linked to Throw. That's five extra turns right there and that was more than enough to take care of him.

Since Tifa doesn't wear a Ribbon, SuperNova is a gamble. It might inflict Confusion and Silence. As a matter of fact, I'm not sure if you can use Coin when silenced and I'm not sure how it affects Final Attack.

Well, that concludes the No Items variant of the challenge. Unfortunately, he is impossible without materia, as there is no way to survive the wing attack. Well, it could miss, but then it definitely ends at Pale Horse, which never ever misses.

Well, the solar system explodes, and you take 150 damage. You throw shiny things at him, he takes 9999 damage. O_o

@vincentchaoslimit It's a pretty common fact that in Japanese anime they like to make grand metaphorical gestures to insinuate that something was massive or powerful, such as the sun exploding when a schoolkid punches his bully, or the like. The same is seen (though more subtle) when people in anime "fall over" with embarrassment at certain shocking events. It's exaggeration for artistic purposes. That's what the majority of the ridiculous things in FF battles are.

You know what similar between Sephiroth's attack and Eden GF of FFVIII? They took a damn long time . Really, I could finish my chores and they're still there!!!

@H3c70rit0 if characters are dead when a fight ends, they do not gain experience. one simple way of getting to the end without leveling up cloud or tifa.
