Notes: Despite the game being a bit lackluster and the story a bit forgettable, the music to FF IX was still stunning. The shining gems are, of course, the final battle themes. This is a great one.

For some reason, I actually loved the story for this game - though I never understood how there could be 'pilgrimages' to Mount Gulag... when the only place most humans lived on was the Mist Continent...

And an entirely different feel from the many varied songs in this list takes the 8th spot with Final Fantasy 9.

Such a weird choice for number 9 leaves one wondering what's going to be in the top 5 and the top 3.

this song is so freaking creepy! but it gets awesome though :)

the voices at the start really creep me out...and Necron was just WTF...
