I just saw this today. This movie rules!  It was way better than I thought it would be, and now I actually wanna see the original story for comparison even though I don't read Doctor Seuss books anymore.

I really wish this could have been THE Dr. Seuss film. I am just divided on what I should think of this film

Pros: 1. Animation is fitting for Dr. Seuss' world 2. Movie sticks to the story 3. Steve Carrel is great as the Mayor 4. Carol burnett is good as the Kangaroo

Cons: 1. Jim Carrey doesn't fit Horton 2. Movie sticks to the book, but can't seem to stick with message 3. Too many popculture references
