  • google eastern gray tree frog and find a place with audio for the sound of their mating call. I think that's what we're hearing.

  • @kokohawes I'm located in Colorado, do you think they could be here?

  • @kokohawes I listened to them here on YouTube and I think the sound I'm hearing is a little different

  • I hear the sound during the day also. I'm outside a lot, know what crickets and raccoons sound like. The sound closely resembles that of a young raccoon, but not quite, and it's much louder than a raccoon would typically make. I'm 54 yrs old, spend much more time outdoors than most people, and have never heard this sound in my life until the past couple of weeks.

  • @kokohawes You're freakin' me out man ...alien?

  • I was hoping to see a good answer. I live in central Indiana and have been hearing the same noise. At first I thought it WAS a raccoon but then followed the sound one day and know that the place it was in, it could only have been an insect of some kind. Whatever it is, it apparently can fly, because I also hear it up in trees and on my roof.

  • @kokohawes lol it's driving my crazy! It's not a raccoon because my bedroom is in the basement so my window is underground and has a like half circle around it opening up to the ground. So the raccoon would be trapped, and I'd hear it fall in. Kind of hard to explain, but I think it has to be an insect of some kind

  • sounds like a raccoon to me.

  • @30zsProduction I thought possibly a cricket at first, but not your normal cricket? Maybe a specific type? I'm not close enough to any water for it to be a frog. lol I have no idea, thanks for trying

  • Maybe a cricket? XD idk do u live like near a river or pond, i have a little pond outside the fence of my house and i hear frogs at night.
