This live recording is the first of three movements, which comprise Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco's work, "Sonatina," Op. 205, for flute and guitar.
I think that this movement makes for a great opening for the entire piece, as it has a blooming quality to it. It really paints the landscape for the rest of the piece. When I play this movement, it reminds my family and I of the pristine air in mountains like the Italian Alps, as well as the explosion of life in the springtime.
Thank you for watching/listening! I hope that you enjoy this movement and that it gives you a nice breath of fresh air!
