Bad taste is never a fact! There are multiple reasons for people to enjoy avant-garde music, and those reasons don't go for you. That does not mean you have a better taste, that only means you have a different taste.

Also, the only official border to what you can call music is that it consists of sounds, and even that is doubted by musical theorists.
