@animedeathx woah woah woah, lets not go hating on the Planets. Just because some of them are popular and perhaps overplayed doesn't mean they're not AWESOME.

How can you compare Stravinsky to Holst?
Mars is a much slower, and is nowhere near as chaotic as this piece is. This is one of Stravinsky's greatest work. The planets are elementary at best, Holst would even tell you that.

a bit too crazy in the Dance...
-
the firebird suite is so incredibly emotional, i wonder if there are other compositions besides holst's Mars that even stand a chance

@MrJonodaman the percussion part takes at least 4 to be played properly. The Timpani and bass drum at the end of this piece is epic... to say the lease!
-
also a lack of bock-a-da-bock is very cruel.
-
once again you can see two lonely percussionists tempted to pick there nose in despair. Such a pity.
Very good xylophone.
Wonder if North Wales youth can play it this good!?

Those poor violins!!!

Its simply amazing that music like this can come from the mind of a composer. Back in Stravinsky days, technology was not as advanced and yet composers were able to make this kind of music. Simply amazing!
HOLY CRAP. Those violas are beasting this part. I was once told by a professional violinist that it's almost impossible to play every note in the firebird, but those violists are....epic.
