Grand Valley is participating in the Michigan International Auto Show in Grand Rapids at DeVos Place from January 26-29, 2012. The show encompasses hybrid and electric vehicles, alternative energies, solar energy and charging stations for electric vehicles. Grand Valley's exhibit is located in booth 80, near the southwest side of the auto show.
Grand Valley recently installed electric vehicle charging stations on the Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses, and faculty and staff members are developing courses in energy storage materials and battery systems for electric/hybrid vehicles. Grand Valley continues to employ sustainable practices and research alternative energies, including the Michigan Alternative and Renewable Energy Center's wind assessment project.
