1st time I fired mine I was like "wtf", there are 50 foot pounds of kick/recoil on these 7mm's

@etherealheigh well i shoot from a bench. so theres not as much "rolling" as it is if i were standing.

@imjustwonderful way late, but, i manage recoil by giving in. sorta like "rolling" with the punches. learn how your rifle kicks and "break" with her.....

@imjustwonderful i have a winchester model 70 7mm rem mag and its one of the best rifle i'v ever had i shoot federal ammo 150 grain soft tips. if you're looking for an ammo that reduces recoil i suggest using remeington core-locks 125 or 150 grain that should reduce kick. but i'v never seen a deer run from a 7 mag so either way the deer will drop on impact.

@etherealheigh hahah Yea 7mm isnt a everyday all around shooting gun its a good deer rilfe for One shot.. lol.. because I hand Load all my ammo "Hot Loads" more kick hehe

@etherealheigh my 7mm rem mag kicks my ass too. how do you manage the recoil? i tried a folded tube sock on the butt pad and it still got me good.

@imjustwonderful I use a Bell and Carlson stock. takes all the kick and thump.. even a spring butt plate would work too.. by the same company Bell Carlson....
