In 2007, the Washington state legislature authorized the governor to enter into new fuel tax compacts with federally recognized Indian tribes who operated fuel stations in Washington. The governor settled tax agreements with 23 Indian tribes. The new agreements require tribally owned fuel stations to collect the state's full gas tax rate from motorists at the pump, but then state officials give back 75%, or 28 cents per gallon, to Indian tribes. Since 2005, motorists lost more than $90.55 million in gas tax revenue to Indian tribes. Tribes use these funds to undercut non-tribal gas stations. • ...& guess who else gets "FREE GA$" ....The WA State DOT workers take the DOT trucks home and use them as personal vehicles. I went on DOT web page and asked about this? And am now blocked and banned from commenting by "Jeremy Bertrand" the watch dog of DOT YouTube video site. I even told him the truck number & it is still being brought back home by 1pm & hidden in a garage. It is not a "supervisor" or emergency response truck. THINK of how much the gas bill is for all DOT trucks (ssssshh$ecret)
