  • at this level there is no competition between the two. these people are having a conversation not an argument. to say one is "better" is kinda childish. you can say who you prefer tho.

  • Marcus is Old school an that is the foundationion of music an Hadrien Is of the new age VERY asmaing an talented guy But even if they were off the same time they play to completely diffrent styls Marcus is a groove solid bassist all about the sound of each string workin with anotherNO Hadrien is amazin he of the new age where we take from other instruments and make it our own on the bass Harmonic arpegios etc(excuse my spelling.but they both great to hear indivdually an together

    I loveit all

  • The choice of song favored hadrein but I still completely dig marcus. Marcus always try to sound like marcus anywhere. Those other guys try to sound like jaco

  • vicienz14 YES

    :)

the question is very easy:JACO PASTORIUS

  • Who is better between hadrien feraud and marcus miller?

The question is very easy :JACO PASTORIUS

  • Brilliant :)

  • Jaco Pastorious

  • can anyone play or whistle or hum me an adriien feraud bass line cos for the life of me i cant think of any.

  • i like both, there are both different, feraud is faster with a light touch, smooth, marcus is more visceral. But the piece sound so random, no groove on that

  • Keep in mind that these guys play all of this stuff impromptu for the comments below these guys don't come to Namm with a setlist all the stuff they play is improvisation with a couple set parts of a song here or there I like this version to a certain extent more than Jaco's because they trade lines back and forth and the fluidity in which they play those lines is incredible is incredible Hadrien is a great example of a modern bassist while Marcus shows a lot of the old school by his groove.

  • @terrykumar well said! marcus sounds like marcus! and noone should TRY to sound like Jaco. not that jacos sound isnt good, but it is his.
