Hey man i just bought a 98 f 150 reg cab and i want to put flowmaster daul exhaust on it and air intake. do you know if ill have to put a chip in the truck for the intake?
-
sounds nice. how'd you get your exhaust like that. did you cut out the cats an weld in pipe? or can you buy a header back true dual system? i have a 02 f150 4.6 an want to get true dual with no cats an new headers. cats are clogged headers an exhaust pipe are rusty so i want to replace it all but all i can find are cat back systems. i apriciate any advice/help

@0113TMoney13 my friend took 2 cats off and left to on on his 2001 f150 he got his exhaust redone he got the left cats cut off and run out the back with dynomax bullets he took the o2 sensor from the pipes with no cats and drilled another hole in the pipe with the cats and placed the o2 sensors back to back in the same pipe so both o2 sensors were reading OK and it gave the truck almost like to different tones it poped and rawred at the same time

@meanstreak1977 see my truck is in my moms name. the country she lives in has emmissions, the county i live in doesnt
-
@0113TMoney13 It's not a big deal if you live in a state without an emmission's check program. Unfortunatly I'm in Texas and a check engine light is an automatic safety inspection fail.

@meanstreak1977 damn, well to make the it sound better is worth it for me

@0113TMoney13 yes
damn!!!! nice sound!!! nice like how it pops when you shift 5.4 riight? do you have a single inlet dual outlet with tips straight back?

i have true duals with cherry bombs at the moment but was thinkin about goin to the flowmaster 40 series. i want mine to sound more like yours but the difference is its dumped b4 the rear axle with 45 turn downs. you think the bends in your pipes versus mine being pretty much straight would make a significant difference in sound? or would mine sound similar

if your talking about puttin the flows on and leaving it dumped compared to mine running out the back, then yes it will be slightly different. its gunna be more of a deeper hollow sound almost (best i can describe LOL). but its still gunna have that flowmaster sound to it for sure.
