that isn't true at all, Adidas is just as much a basketball brand as Nike is. Nike is more associated to basketball because of Michael Jordan and Lebron but also very much associated with soccer because of players like Ronaldo, Christiano Ronaldo, Thierry Henry (until he went to rebock), and Ronaldinho all signed with Nike.
Adidas is also a major football brand.
so really neither of them is strictly to 1 sport. Both put out great products for all sports
