  • If you are really unemployed and sitting on some valuable piece of land, you can capitalise on that; e.g. bring that land into its highest and best use. That way you can make a killing, keep the fruits of your labour, and only pay taxes on the _unimproved_ value of the land. Current governments (US, State, local) take the fruits of your labour instead. Which would you rather have?

  • The community creates land value because of population and services provided by community, local, state and federal. Since the community at all levels needs a source of revenue to pay for services the idea here is that the most appropriate source of that revenue is the value the community itself creates and that value is land value. Community does not create the economic value of anything else except land. Your land value should be taxed but not the value of your house or your wages .

  • What a Jerk !

He expects us to pay High property taxes even if we dont make any money.

The morons dont get that they should fix the land prices and get the value from bidding at the time of sale.

I hope they rot and die.
