Kwang-Gae is named after the famous Kwang-Gae-Toh-Wang, the 19th King of the Koguryo Dynasty, who regained all the lost territories including the greater part of Manchuria. The diagram represents the expansion and recovery of lost territory. The 39 movements refer to the first two figures of 391 A. D., the year he came to the throne.

  • wtf?! siento que han ultrajado al taekwon-do u.u, nose quien les enseña pero eso no tiene nada que ver con el taekwon-do original creado por el grl. Choi Hong Hi, es una lastima que exista gente que los engaña.

  • stupid!!!!!

  • This is not Kwan Gae

  • Young man, I know you have probally been taught this way by your instructor. But as a student it is up to you to research your style of martial arts. Do this before posting next time. With respect, this is not kwan gae.

  • @zambokschwammkopf I agree ---- - - - - who is teaching this as TKD????

  • @zambokschwammkopf no problem

  • @warrlic2 sorry dude thought u were TKDUNIV :)

  • @zambokschwammkopf umm why are you directing this at me exactly im not the one doing this video and such my comment is below

  • @warrlic2 #25 low forearm block, you seem to be doing some kind of inward block? #33 this is a MIDDLE snap kick, there is no such thing as a high front snap kick in taekwon-do #35 this is a HIGH punch #38 knifehand guarding block, the angle in your elbow joint should be approximately 90 degrees.... Everything I have mentioned is all from general choi's encyclopedia, please don't continue this altered version of TKD, perform as its meant to be performed :)

  • @warrlic2 ok then i think you should have a read of the encyclopedia in that case -

#2 upset punch - the backfist comes to the same height as the elbow joint (just above the belt) #8 KNIFEhand guarding block, not forearm. #10 turn counterclockwise, not a massive spin clockwise. the palm upward block should come no higher than the solar plexus #13 pressing kick, keep the hands in the same position. #21 palm pressing block, hands are in the wrong places, this would never work
