    when you speak about sugar, is it glucose that you speaking about or does it include lactose, ribose, dextrose, fructose etc.?

  • Billions of Asians live on high starch diets of white rice and never get fat. Your theory is clearly flawed. A starch/fruit based diet is optimal for weight loss and health. It's the animal fats and proteins you want to eliminate; they, along with processed foods, are the root of nearly every degenerative disease known to man.

  • @1skylinedreamz You do not need to have starches...do you believe everything the government tells you? Just because the food pyramid says you need to have a "balanced" diet doesn't mean its true. We existed on a no grain/low starch diet for the majority of human existence, grains only came to be about 10,000 years ago at the advent of agriculture. Honestly, from the looks of this guy he clearly knows a little bit about what he's talking about.

  • If you cut out all your starches, your basically doing the low carb diet and I did not have energy to work out doing low carb... I have energy when I eat my bananas, my brown rice, a slice of bread with an egg in the morning... etc.

  • @mazhpereira Our culture has gotten into this destruction trend in whach we think we need a starch on our plate.... but we don't. A perfectly good lunch could be tuna salad and pickle on the side. Mix tuna, diced onion, mayo & bam. Or chicken. Or pork,

    Try eating Corned Beef and cabbage more often.

    When I make beef or elk stew, I use carrots but not potatoes. I like the carrots more anyway.

    I love brussel sprouts, cook them a long time with onions, in broth & butter. A good side.
