@niels2029 If the fan is loud you can swap it out for a Scythe fan, or better yet, a Noctua fan.
Some foam pads should take care of any vibrations in the case, etc.

@BoogieWithStew LOL should have bought the hx series then... i can hear the fan in my cas! even when idle... thought the cheaper one would make me satisfied..... but only my psu is the only one thats not silent in my pc!! grrrrrr corsair........maybe if i put some cotton below the PSU it will be silent from the vibrations inside the case

Wow, sounds pretty lucky. 100 degrees Celsius is pretty hot, no wonder it burned out. This is why I always buy a quality PSU. There's nothing worse than baking (or nearly baking) a few hundred dollars worth of equipment because I paid 30 bucks for a shoddy power supply. The corsair PSU in this review might sound pretty expensive, but 150 bucks for something that'll run my computer solidly for the next 5-7 years is better than risking it.
