  • Change the axis of the ball valve 90 degrees dufuss

  • i've just started using solidworks. is this simulation thing a part of the standard installation or it some special package.? Also, If I design, say, a suspension system with a couple of links etc, would it be able to provide a proper simulation of that as well - not just a video of how the links move relatively to each other but also the forces etc.? Someone mentioned that it works with simple parts only.?

  • @damajesticjester Hey thanks.

I have upgraded my computer since that comment. I should try again.

    Cheers.

  • @danxl5 You need a graphics card that supports Realview graphics. To check to see if your card supports it you can start a new part then go to view>display and scroll down, if the realview is grayed out you need a better card. More than likely it doesn't. ATI FireGLs and ATI FirePROs and NVIDIA QuadroFX cards are the only ones I know. Search Realview Graphics compatible graphics cards in google and it should link you to a solidworks site that tests yours and lists cards that work.

  • this is premium? is there an 'all in one" solidworks? like a ultimute virsion like microsoft windows

  • is autodesk inventor the best mcad?

  • How do you get the nice real time render?

All my parts look bland and in flat colours, with no reflections.

  • interesting the flow goes to one side but I assume that's not really true other than for completely open pipes. if there is any load the split will likely be near 50% anyway
