From what Milbury traded, they could've been a contender in the NHL, that plus Heatley or Gaborik, that would've been unreal, if they were going to select him, he should of traded down.

the islanders have a bad scout, could've gotten a way better goaltender then dipetro, or at least a way better key player.

Dipietro can be good he is just on a bad team and has weak defense

@Hockeycentralmag why was that bad? The islanders finished last in the league in goals for that season they were obviously going for a forward and filatov was expected to be the next forward to go, and he obviously sucks and Bailey is better than him and by trading down they got the pick to select hamonic and he's better than schenn

@leafs88nation I would say trading down from the 5th pick to the 9th and skipping on Schenn worse than not chosing Hodgson.
