cigar reviews review http://www.cigarobsession.com CAO Lx2 Belicoso
This 7×56 stick started out promising, albeit with simple flavors of pepper, tobacco and a hint of sweetness. By the 2/3 point 45 min in though, the flavors had changed to a nice smooth nut but then unfortunately the stick became unsmokeable in a matter of seconds prompting a recut and relight, with horrible flavors afterwards. I smoked this cigar in 2008 with Tim Ozgener when he use to own CAO. My cigar shop hosted a tasting of this cigar and he hosted it, we got to smoke the 3 puros of the cigar and then the actual LX2. Got a pretty cool cigar box from it too that held the 3 puros and the LX2 and got his signature from him.

I had the same problem with an mx2 I smoked. I was pissed because I payed good money for it at my local cigar lounge and I got about 10 minutes worth of smoking. Although, I had a CAO Gold the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it, no burn issues. I agree with your overall assessment of CAO

@eleetgamer I have certainly had my share of duds lol! Some brand though are far above others in overall quality and most importantly consistency. Padron for example makes CAO look like Mercedes and Chevy. All my lighters are butane, not sure why you thought otherwise!

It may just be my own opinion, but it seems as if CAO has started to put too many different lines on the market. I use to give a lot more credit to CAO than I do today. I also made the attempt to smoke one of these LX2's and was not at all impressed. Like this man said, it's a sloppy ash, inconsistant burn, uneventful taste that grew more harsh and "green" tasting as time went on.
A fancy band and flashy packaging does not make a superior cigar. Steer clear of this one.

i didnt have any problems with my lx2 in toro size, but i agree that it is definately not worth the money. I paid around $8 for mine..... should have picked up a Padron instead! The CAO black and gold are the only sticks by CAO i stock in my humidor.

my impression of these are they are very slow smoking cigars. not meaning they burn slow if you puff on them but more as in the way you should smoke them. they take a while to get going but you need to be patient and smoke them at a slow pace and have a beverage to tone down the pepper(i like a citrus drink like a margarita)

i allways smoke the cao italia,brazilia,criollo,mx2,mx3,escaparate habano, escaparate colombia and the sopranos and i never had any problems belive me i smoke the hell out of cao lol...but the lx2 is kinda bad smoking caristics if i had to say wich cao is the worst performance i would have to give it to the lx2 just cause it dies out quick
