Yeah...not too scary in the GTO, but when I was a young kid, my dad would take us down the hill in his old Chevy Impalas / Buick Wildcat while we sat (actually we were probably standing up) in the back seat praying that the brakes didn't fail.
I've never been up there, but did park the goat up right behind the courthouse once, and took pictures overlooking the bridge and the Missouri bottoms.

There's an awesome view of the river from the top floor of the County Court House located on the bluff. Nice observation point.
