Thanks for posting this video. The movement of the women remind me of the ring shout-a 19th century & earlier African American & Caribbean religious "dance". Here's an excerpt from Wikipedia: "Men and women moved in a circle in a counterclockwise direction, shuffling their feet, clapping, and often spontaneously singing or praying aloud".
A lot of religious references in spirituals to singin' & shoutin" actually refer to this shuffling movement.which is definitely of African origin.
