As seen from North Hollywood, California between 1:25pm and 1:45pm on Saturday, August 29, 2009. Meteorological services report this smoke plume as over 15,000 feet high. We just heard a fire chief on the site report that as of 3:30pm, the fire may be now covering 20,000 acres - far beyond the 7,000+ reported earlier today.
Spare a thought for the firefighters, who are toiling in 100+ degree heat.
