Arab leaders have gathered in Qatar to attend the 21st summit of the Arab League.

Besides trying to ease regional rifts, leaders have placed the arrest warrant issued against Omar al-Bashir, Sudan's president, high on their agenda.

Al Jazeera's Hashem Ahelbarra reports from Khartoum.

  • @bunce101 I know they had contact, traders, diplomats, even wars.

but it wasn't a big migration of Arabs to Africa or Africans to Arabia until after the 6th century.

either way, our peoples and cultures are very intertwined.

  • @WinkyMaeve yeah thats western 'whitewash' of history, actually arabia and africa have contact long before they can record history, land of punt was an somali-yemeni kingdom 5000years ago, kush and kemet were one land before the greeks-europeans came and did their usual divide-conquor than whitewash, theres many many other places that show this unity between east/north africa and arabia(formely) like when the prophet(pbuh) sent his companians to abyssinia etc and how moses(pbuh)

  • @bunce101 what do you mean ??

Yemeni is a word that comes from the 19th century?

all of Arabia was united and had many tribes that moved all over the large land mass.

Arabization of Africa and Africanization of Arabia did not happen until much later

  • @WinkyMaeve I agree and no they are not the purest arabs the first original arabs are yemenis also yes please do go visit the bedouin villages of saudi and kuwait and have a look

  • @WinkyMaeve go to google images and write konjo to see what east africans look like and compare that to bedouin yemenis/kuwaitis/saudis

  • @WinkyMaeve yemen is the first ishmaelites(arabs) but yes it would be a good idea to go visit bedouins in kuwait and saudi because they are also dark, when I say dark I don't mean like nigerian or ghana black I mean they look more like eritreans and somali's than they do modern day syrians or iraqi's(who are heavily mixed with europeans)

  • @bunce101 lots of yemeni are mixed with black man.

the purest arab bedouin are in remote ass desert cave locations in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait

  • @WinkyMaeve you need to pay yemen a visit(first ishmailites) see how the bedouins look exactly like eritreans/somalis etc

  • @bunce101 lol, not all bedouin are dark, but yes, I understand what you mean.

north sudanese are as Arab as I am

  • @HafeedMansour nigger? Have you seen the bedouin(unmixed native) arabs? They look EXACTLY like nubians/eritreans etc typical whiteman
