Are you kidding me? What happens when VMware DRS moves part or all of the workload to a different ESX host connected to a different network physical switch? What happens when your service scales from VM replication? This is neither secure nor will it work for multi tenancy, let alone be sufficient to guarantee an SLA for a customer. The only way to do cloud and multi tenancy is with a flat switch fabric.
