  • I use my 2008 Kia Sedona as a hauler (antiques, collectibles)..no kids, no soccer practice, not a people hauler, so I can open the doors myself or use the auto feature that has never failed (so far). One tends to love what they have as long as it doesn't give them any problems. As soon as one thing goes wrong, we're ready to call it a lemon and we're ready to lop off heads. My we are a spoiled lot, aren't we?

  • @Handiman544 perhaps since your van is an 08 and this is an 06, Kia has since fixed the defect?

And really? Spoiled? Excuse me for wanting advertised features (ones that added to the price of the van) to actually work as advertised.

  • hyundai entourge is better them have power lift gates

  • You do realize that the Hyundai Entourage and Kia Sedona are the exact same vehicle right? Kia is Hyundai.

  • um its a damn door

  • And again... does anybody read the descriptions anymore? Here, I make it easy for you:

  • I don't understand why people want an electric door opener. What in the heck is so difficult about moving it by hand?

  • I own 2008 KIA Carnival/Sedona & I need to replace the electronic part for the power sliding door. Does anyone know the location of that part; under dashboard or elsewhere? The part no: 95450 4D 102 (taken from a casing box that KIA replaced a year ago)

  • @Gil8199 Kia isnt american!!!! its another crappy import!

  • My 2007 Hyundai Entourage has had the drivers sliding door replaced in 2009,we bought the van in april 2008.This motor was replaced at about 40,000 plus miles. Now in April 2011 at 70,000 plus miles it's out again. They said sorry it's out of warrenty.Won't buy another Hyundai ever.

  • hyundai owns 50% of kia..... 10 years ago..... so kia makes a kool car then hundai has the rights to copy... i hate hyundai look the kia sedona came in 2006 the newer model and the hyundai is 2007!!!! also kia sportage!!!!1995 the hyundai is in the early 2000!!!! aha so hyundai suks!!!boooo on them!!!! kia rulez!!!!

  • I have this van! After trying many things, I can say definitively that it is the latch that must be replaced. It has a "detent" switch on it, an electric switch that that tells the computer the door is shut and to let it latch. The two can get gummed up or something and they don't work anymore and the latch at the rear end of the door won't actually click shut when it should, it is held open. It costs 52 bucks online. I did it myself rather than pay 375 to the dealer, though it was a pain.

  • @Gil8199 No. They're the same company. Google Hyundai Kia Motor Group (youtube won't allow me to post a link).

  • Hmm, I have learned a thing or two about handling kids... you're right.

  • When your handling two toddlers with your arms plus grocery, power sliding doors comes in handy.
