at 7:40 he says he 'uses Naphtha'. Hmmm....One needs to be careful about the flammability of that stuff. JT, are you using a 'sanding sealer', too? I saw this site:koajoel. (dot) com on their 'tips' link/ about sanding sealer/finish. Looks good. Thanks for your videos JT. I appreciate them! Very talented and inspirational. You are makin' me nervous with that up-close sanding. Ever try those 'strip' type of sandpapers,20" long or so? (to keep the fingers away a bit !!) Nice work.

I couldn't hear what the paint thinner was called either.

I don't hear very well. What is the stuff he is using for wet sanding? Some sort of paint thinner that evaporates quickly?

JT should have been a high school wood shop intructor.

Yep. Ladyfinger is one term used for that kind of grind on a gouge.

Was that what I have seen called a Ladyfinger gouge? (just before the skew)
Hubby will be so glad to see this! Lots of good tips and tricks, and wood-turning - just that it is wood-turning is so cool for him! The bowl is really looking fantastic already. Can't wait for part 4 - but I will!
