Yet another video of my almost 170k 4.8 V8 in my 2001 Silverado, This thing is half dead, and still takes off pretty swift. Yes it's the stock exhaust, no it doesn't have a CAI.

Next step, KB blown 383 stroker.

Comments on my next motor and set up choice are always welcome, as well as suggestions.

And I've seen it a million and a half times on here, the song playing is "Red - Breathe Into Me"

  • wow sick video ...... -_-

    not

  • @onelowshow ; How utterly retarded must you be, to expect something amazing out of a video titled "ALMOST DEAD 4.8 TAKE OFF".

  • Good song choice! And normally I hate music in truck videos!

  • @2007Escalade ; Well.... as you can tell, it was on the radio, lol.... I forgot to turn the radio down before doing this abnormally short clip.

  • build the 4.8, i built my 4.8 for my 03 extended cab long bed and ran mid 10's on stock suspension and almost pulled the wheels

  • @onlypresto ; I've done already gone 383 stroker LS1, and within the next couple of years I'm going LS7 twin-turbo.

  • Five Finger Death Punch =]

  • @skeet2face09 ....I have a 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L.... i have about 200,000 miles..... and i saw your comment about 2 fuel pumps....what was wrong with them? Cuz i my truck dont turn on, until the like the 3rd time i try to start the engine...seems like if i charge the gas (turn the key to the on position before the engine turns on, and turn back to the off, and do this 4 times) it starts on the first time...could it be my fuel pump?

  • @skeet2face09 how did you know the fuel pump is going will it take about 30secs of full cranking to start up?or wat?

  • ur truck click bcuzz the gear kick in

  • @styl0us cool, i didn't have time to look at other vids, but that sounds sick
