I'm sorry, but this award was well deserved. Mickey Rourke was absolutely Brilliant in The Wrestler, but it was a role very similar to him as a person. He did not have to change or reach too far, the character was him. Sean Penn had to embody Harvey Milk for his part. He had to change his weight, mannerism, phisical appearance, and act gay among others. Sean Penn the person was lost in this character and that is what Oscars should be made of. Penn could play Robinson, Rourke can NOT play Milk.

Both Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke were fantastic and I don't believe one acted better then the other. Not everyone can play a homosexual politician or a broken down wrestler which is why both Rourkes and Penn's performances were so phenomenal. They should have just cut the Oscar in half and gave it to both of them, they both deserved an Oscar that year.
