Initial court appearance of Quincell Adams

Quincell Adams smiled and nodded to his supporters in the courtroom Friday as he sat in the jury box waiting for the judge to read the charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder that keep him behind bars in lieu of $1.5 million bail.

Adams, 18, of Neptune was the last of four defendants to appear in state Superior Court in connection with the Dec. 5 gang-related fatal shooting of Latyria M. Nealy, 21, in Asbury Park. All four, as well as Nealy, are members of the Bloods gang according to authorities.
