  • @Will1324657 Yes, the viol, also called the viola da gamba, is the bowed instrument on the left.

  • Did baroque cello and viola da gamba players commonly use this right-hand position, which is the reverse of that used by today's cello players?

  • @davehshs Just the viol players bow underhand.

  • Click on 720p for a good balance between resolution and playability; try 1080p if you have a both a fast computer and fast internet connection. Allow the red bar to fill up one third or more before playing.
