Iranian Police Brutality - Students beaten in university dorms (June 14th)

The so called police (nirooye entezaami) attacked the university dorms in the middle of the night, beat the students and arrested around 70 people. Furthermore, the police confiscated and destroyed mobile phones and cameras, in order to destroy evidence.

Firstly, I was not writing that to be an apologist for the moral wrongs of my country. You right. The UK has made mistakes both morally and practically. Churchill was a complex man with flaws but the fact is he lead the UK and Europe against fascism in WW2.

and winston churchill has yet to have his bones dug up and set on trial ( an old european habit ) for using chemical weapons on the iraqis in the 1920's.

our government, since 1979, has made Iran an industrial and scientific focal point in the middle east ... the shah didnt do that. people are better off now than then.
