TRENTON— Senator Michael J. Doherty (R-Hunterdon, Warren) and Senator James Beach (D-Camden) today announced they will present resolutions to the Senate and Assembly calling on the U.S. Congress to end TSA screening procedures requiring full body scans and pat downs at U.S. airports Their action comes in response to widespread concerns over privacy and radiation, as well as reports of inappropriate conduct by TSA agents during the screening process.

"The pursuit of security should not force Americans to surrender their civil liberties or basic human dignity at a TSA checkpoint," said Doherty. "Subjecting law-abiding American citizens to naked body scans and full body pat downs is intolerable, humiliating, vulnerable to abuse, and is fast becoming a disincentive to travel. Particularly concerning to us is the fact that physical searches result in children being touched in private areas of the body. Terrorists hate America because of the freedoms upon which this great nation was built. By implementing these screening measures, the TSA has already handed a victory to those who seek to destroy our freedoms."

Everybody in the line near the backscatter X-ray machine gets hit when the person at the head of the line is getting X-rayed. If the line is long, the people toward the middle and rear of the lines get heavy, massive doses.

At Canadian airports, they have a privately owned security contractor who does all the screening at airports. If any of these security personal grabbed my kid or my wife inappropriately the way the TSA has done to Americans, my fist would be breaking their nose and they would be in the hospital. Then I would claim that i felt my family was in danger. And if I get charged, so be it, it would be well worth it.

Americans should be able to fly through out the us with out the tsa. I belive pepole flying in maybe should.

B.S. why are so many complaining across this country. A stranger off a street would be arrested if they touched you in this way. A police officer has to have just cause to pat you down. What they are doing does not make us any safer. Israel does not violate its citizens and treat them like crimminals and they have the best security in the world at their airports. and they don't resort to sexualy molesting their citiizens.

You would never see people in Israel airport sexual assualting their citizens espeically kids.These body scans that shows naked pictures of people is appalling. A man from Austrillia said his wife was asked to do the body scan and he noticed that they only asked the nice looking women to do the full body scans And the TSA man was leering at his wife, like he was getting off on it.
