I agree with BluSakBronc below. This video explains the uses and value of the USGS streamgage network, but it doesn't explain the actual mechanics of stream gage operation (i.e. how the actual device works). I'd find that extremely interesting myself.

I still don't understand how a stream gauge works. Is there a place that explains that? Can you add that to this story maybe? Thanks.
