I have watched several shuttle launches from my back yard and I planned to do the same today. I had to work today so I could not make the trip down to Tituesville to view the last shuttle launch. I probably would not have gone anyway as the media had estimated there would be over one million spectators there. There were an estimated 80,000 spectators this past February for the launch I watched live of STS-133 and it took several hours into the late night to clear that crowd. Soooo, I got to watch it on TV like the rest of the world.

Thanks Jim for posting this. I didn't see it on tv :( So...I guess BrokenAeroVT is looking for a job?

It's too bad you couldn't have gone Jim :o( But 1 million spectators is a lot of people LOL! In that case it might be better on TV eh :o) It's sad that it's the last one.

Such a sad moment for me as I love the Shuttle program. I really hope NASA continues with manned spacecraft...it would be a real shame if we let the future of space travel pass us by. Great video.
