  • yes, he does. he writes all of it... but doesn't record the drums. he can play the drums, just can't do some of the double bass and complicated stuff. joel IS toxic holocaust.

  • And he's fat

  • @Slayerof100

Real metalheads are fat, that's just standard.

  • @Slayerof100 i saw them live the other night and i met joel. he lost a hell of alot of weight. hes like incredebly skinny now. and shorter than i expected

  • @TheDeadnightWarior He was re-recording it. It was re-recorded for the Japanese release of An Overdose Of Death

  • Venom was no way Black Metal at all. Matter or fact most thrash metal had the sound Venom threw out there in the 80's I say Hellhammer sprouted the seed for black metal and Venom came up with the term. And Possessed OWNS Death Metal. "The Seven Churches" to be honest is more Brutal than "Scream Bloody Gore" and as a matter or fact, the Reason Chuck wanted to do what he did is because he got totally inspired by Possessed's "The Seven Churches" Which didn't have much thrash elements in it.

  • why was he playing 666 when thats on evil never dies?and is that recording a rerecorded version of the song? it sounded sick either way

  • @RockForce131 : thanks. Bathory also kinda defines the pure, true sound of early black metal too.

  • @MetalAttack1986 True, you make a compelling argument, but for what its worth your right.

  • @RockForce131 : yeah, Venom created the First Wave of Black Metal and defined what black metal is, but their musical genre does NOT sound like black metal too me! Their first album is clearly speed metal, and their next album, Black Metal, is thrash metal and speed metal. Hellhammer's music is the first pure sound of black metal. It's the same with Possessed, how they coined the term Death metal, but they were brutal thrash, and Death was had first pure sound of death metal

  • @MetalAttack1986 No dude, Venom created black metal in '82 with the album BLACK METAL. Well they created the first of black metal at least.
