Protecting Islam's Name?

@BabyBang17datruth The thousand heads that Muhammad personally lopped off had nothing to do with any battle, nor defense. It had to do with spiteful vengeance. To try and equivocate his murderous acts with the Death Penalty is fallacious reasoning. The Sura I pointed out previously does sanction oppression and murder in the name of "peace" and "submission." Those arguing to the contrary are being either deceptive or naive, thereby fulfilling the declaration by Muhammad that "War is deceit."

@Derengowski The Prophet had been involved in many battles. And like in any holy book, it's not a surprise to have these events in the Quran. And let me say, these events aren't made to encourage violence and aren't part of Islamic teachings. And no, he didn't kill anyone. He was the supreme ruler of the Muslim State of Madinah and so at times, he had to pass judgements on criminals to be given capital punishment. This is synonymous to the Death Penalty given by courts around the world.

@BabyBang17datruth Muhammad was a true Muslim and beheaded approximately 1,000 people all by himself (see ibn Ishaq). In fact, he's the one who gave us Sura 9, which is the last of his marching orders before he passed, where he commanded the killing of the mushrikun (unbelievers) and oppression of Jews and Christians. Now, if Muhammad would do and command such things, then why sit there and tell us who would do what or who you think is an extremist? Could it be that you're the bigot?

@Derengowski I've been attending Friday prayers for years and never heard such outlandish bigotry. A true Muslim wouldn't kill an innocent person or God will look at them as they've killed humanity. These "extremists" aren't true Muslims. They're are lunatics who use religion to spread their political ideology.

@AnnaMishel Anna, you are absolutely correct. But, such is the nature of the deception that so many refuse to see is occurring. Instead, they would rather see the whitewash, the phony facade, the Islamic religion through rose colored glasses. God have mercy on them one day; both those who chose to refuse to view Islam as it truly is, as well as those who chose to propagate a lie, rather than tell the truth. Thanks for chiming in.

@KrimsonKaleidascope KK, I've read my share of Islamic material over the years and met quite a few Muslims along the way, and the reason I concur with 6thM is because he/she is right: not all Muslims are malcontents. In fact, it is because they aren't as bad as Islam wants to make them that we don't see more acts of terror than we do in the world. Nevertheless, I agree with you that jihad (which is commanded of all Muslims) is a process. Thank God many of them are not obeying that process.
Any "peaceful" Muslim . . reading the Koran, seeing what the Islam stands for, wants, promotes, and is doing around the world now and wants to do in the future . . . would leave Islam and want no part of it. Those that don't leave are sanctioning it.
