Fantastic time(thanks to the Big fat Qualy tires).Only to be beaten in 2001.. Amazing v12 Honda sound. Thanks Tonino1899. Interesting to see 314km/h in Suzuka with 730HP
Michaelingolfhansen i find your theory interesting but my calc are like this:
210km/h is the speed reduced (300-90=210)
that means 58.333m/s.
The actual time of deceleration is 2.6s (with crono). So:
58.333/2.6=22.43m/s2 or 2.29g. But that is average deceleration.
Max at that time is known to be more than 4g at high speed braking

Fantastico!

@gold333 where did you heard the 7g stuff?
-
@ukks63 no it wouldn't be around 1,27. The modern cars corners faster, you can see Senna with only 208kmh at Degner 1. In 2006 and 2010, some cars carried 260kmh on same corner.
Also, it's hard to say if tarmac surface got better grip. Only 130R is easier now and this car would be slower in every corner than the modern ones

1:34:898...I have no words, Ayrton the best

@gp4nut He had traction control. It´s called "Senna´s right foot".

I love the enthusiasm of Japanese commentators.

Japanese commentator clearly having an orgasm over Senna at the end there.
In fact, at the end of the day, Berger got Pole by 0,198s.

@OraRacing... yes, exactly!! it was the perfect tactic of the McLaren Team so Ayrton could fight one-on-one against his rival Nigel Mansell...
