a speed metal interpretation? : )
quite well done although I prefer the original.
what is the instruments used for the main melody in the original? trumpets and flutes together?

@DanFrederiksen Thank you for your compliment. I agree, nothing beats the original off course. I tried to arrange it in a speed metal version, but I couldn't capture the whole feeling of the original. It sounds awesome but personally I thought it lost too much of the original that way since I had a salute to the original in mind.
I think they use trumpets and flutes too and added a French horn along the way, substitued by 2 guitars and a church organ in my version...

Amazing adaptation of the opening theme of Dick Turpin! It rocks like crazy! Growing up, this programme was also broadcasted in the Netherlands and was one of my favorites. The opening theme is very recognisable and immediately captures the setting and time period this historic character lived in. That itself speaks highly of the composers of this theme, but to make such an adaptation kicks ass! Well done!!!

Wow! What a great compliment! Your words are well chosen and lock together like the stones of the pyramid of Gizeh!
I have exactly the same feeling as you do when I hear the original. I know it was broadcasted in Holland as I am Dutch (too?)...lol
Did you know the composer of this theme is also the director of the series? A man with many talents.
I am happy that you enjoy listening to my interpretation! This is why I do what I do...
