Halo 3 Mouse Trap

Rube Goldberg inspired Halo 3 antics!

I used to have a TON of info on how to build these things in Halo 3, or where to find the info on how to do it, but much of it seems pretty out-dated at this point. Many new techniques have been discovered that are much easier than how I did it, and aside from that, Reach is out, which makes it INSANELY easy to build these things. Well, harder in some regards, but....phasing and such REALLY helps.

Anyways, to answer some questions:

1) I do not have ANY of the "physical" maps. Almost immediately after creating the videos, I deleted them from my HDD, as I created a lot of stuff and needed space. Plus, after the machine has run it's course, there's nothing left to accomplish.

2) Yes, I am aware these traps wouldn't work in practice. But, if you'll notice, they're not ACTUALLY trap designs. They're Rube Goldberg machines. Trap is just the name. Mouse Trap in particular is a throwback to the old Mouse Trap board game, which itself was a Rube Goldberg machine.

3) To the people claiming I have no life, I have a strong urge to point out, that you're REALLY over-estimating how long it takes to build these. Especially once you know how everything works. It took a while to learn how to do it all, but after that, it's all up to the imagination.

Also, it's not like it's any worse than playing the multiplayer for hours a day. I just happen to enjoy building things.

I think that's really all I have to say on the matter.

I don't add people I don't know, sorry. It's nothing personal. I just have no reason to do so.

Otherwise, I'm glad so many of you enjoyed the videos! Who knows, maybe one of these days I'll get off my ass and make some Reach Machines.....or, I guess, get ON my ass, and build some Reach Machines. That's more appropriate I'd think. Yes.
