You know, it's easy to see how people can get caught up in this kind of stuff. I have little interest in trains other than their incredible brute strength and yet, I find myself sitting here hour after hour mesmerized by these videos. I can't really explain it.

I just don't get it! only 3 or 4 engines on the train? I seriously do not think Tehachapi is all that great these days. I was there when it was SP/SF and the trains then had 5 to 8 engines on the front and 4 to 7 more in the middle of the train!! It was insane! and you heard the diesel roar for milews in advance.....You cant even hear the locomotives these days.. such a shame! rail-fanning sure lost it's excitement! Wide Cabs..ugggh!

Oh...sorry. Was pulling in cause my foamer buddy was getting gas. Maybe I should have gotten the prices in the picture so that when gas is $10/gal we can say man, I remember when it was 3.35!
