Adobe After Effects CS4 -Improved Shatter Effect with Time remapping.Watch in HD

My best effort yet using the shatter plugin. In this composition, I used the plugins own 3D camera with additional time remapping to give a bullet time or Matrix -like effect. I added additional particle overlays such as mini explosions, dust and glass to the scene to give that dramatic explosive effect. Topped off with royality free music and sound effects. Also used a 60FPS frame rate- but as ever with Youtube's own codecs, or whatever they use, the outcome always appears slow or choppy compared with the master copy.

@F1NNAZ Yes true, like I mentioned in my previous comments, this is one of my first AE compositions and therefore makes little sense. It just demonstrates what the shatter plugin can do to some extent.

Nice effect! I have cs3 and have been experimenting with shatter. To move in 3d space around the particles, did you do anything special? or just create a new camera and move the camera around? I wonder if cs3 can do that.

@chaucer44 Cheers. Well to be totally honest I really can't remember I just experimented. But I see no reason why AE CS3 cannot do this. I've been working away building 3d geometry in max so I haven't much time to make any new comps in AE. However, check out my AE/Max folder for other comps if you wish to do so :)

can you do this effect and have it transition into another image? for example: that brunette woman changes into a blonde gal

@Raz3R10 Yes your right my friend he has some shatter tutorials but that was after I found out about them. I might have to give the plugin another go, especially now I have more knowledge about AE. Thanks for the advice :)

@doctorbubble Yeaa, dude I know. When I started playing with After Effects I wasn't great either. Next time You try shatter effects you should use motion blur and create randomness in size variation. I wasn't on vc.net for so long, but I heard that there were shatter tutorials. Cheers

@Raz3R10 Considering this was one of my first comps you could say hide sight is a great thing my friend. Looking back over it - I realize its crude but Rome wasn't built in a day, just ask Kramer :)
