@buschlght I know you posted this two years ago but I feel I need to respond. I am never surprised to see "religious leaders" with expensive cars, homes, clothes, etc. Millions of people everyday all over the world give their money to churches and have been doing it for hundreds of years. There ain't one religion out there that doesn't take its members money.

You can't judge ALL pastors that way. Also the Bible says that we are to tithe or give 10% of our income to the church. That's not to just pay the pastor's salary. It's to give the church resources to carry out their mission, which SHOULD BE to win souls for Christ and to help people wherever they can. If a church can afford to pay their pastor a good salary for the work he does and are willing to do so, fine. Keep in mind though, all pastors are not crooks.

There seems to be a problem on this thread about pastors driving nice cars. First off, you don't know HOW the pastor got the benz. How do you know that he didn't have a job and earned the money to buy it? I know LOTS of pastors who have. Another thing, many times limos that are "owned by the pastor" are in fact owned by the church. The pastor just uses them as long as he is pastor. Yes, there are some VERY crooked pastors out there, and they give the good ones a bad name.

I agree, she and the mayor, if they truly are repentant, should be forgiven. But they must also be held accountable in a court of law. I don't know about Ms Beatty, but from what I've seen, the Mayor is not the least bit remorseful.
