Myself, I desperately wanted to learn to play a keyboard!!!! I was already in my 40's and bought one. I tried to teach myself but couldn't learn to play the chords. I was doing OK with the melody because I played a Clarinet as a child. We had a piano, My Mother and Sisters played and I had the opportunity for lessons while growing up but I refused. I just thought of My Dad yelling at My Sister to practice and I didn't want that!
